I’m not sure I’ve met a couple yet who have had a professional photo shoot before their big day.
Almost all are convinced they won’t like posing for pictures or they will really dislike how they look in front of the camera. An engagement shoot is the perfect way to alleviate those fears. Not only do we get to spend an extra hour or so getting to know each other, but you get a feel for how I work and how easily I will make the formal pictures on your big day.
You can pick a venue that means something to you – whether this is where you got engaged or the walk you take every Sunday. If you have kids and pets (especially dogs) then bring them along! The session usually lasts one to two hours and you will get around 50 shots to use as you see fit.
I’ve seen engagement images used in so many different ways. Many of my couples use the images on their wedding website, gift table and – more recently – their wedding newspaper. The most important thing is you have images of you as an engaged couple to enjoy for years to come.
