This is a question we get asked all the time and our answer is always YES!
In the past, wedding photographers got quite the reputation for being loud, barking orders and keeping people waiting for what seems like an age. We made a conscious decision not do that. No-one wants that memory of the day starting with ‘remember when the photographer shouted at me?’ Very much not our style.
You may have gathered by now, I pride myself on being a calm force to your big day. Let me take on the stresses and strains of making sure I get all the right shots while you just enjoy the moment. If I’m calm, that will radiate through you and your guests which means I get better pictures. Literally, everyone’s a winner.
In the weeks leading up to your wedding, we will send you a shot list – pictures we recommend, plus your opportunity to add anything you might like. We do this for three reasons: 1. I don’t want you waking up the morning after your wedding thinking “oh no…we didn’t get that shot of sew and sew” 2. If someone has wandered off, we can move on to the next shot and get it later 3. I print several copies and ask you to recommend great people in your wedding party that can help me get get everyone where they’re needed.
This will ensure the ‘formal’ photos will be as swift as possible. We also promise not to keep you away from your guests for too long – this is your big day after all, you want to spend all the time with your family and friends. We will whisk you off for 5-10 minutes a couple of times throughout the day for some bride and groom shots – usually to take advantage of the best light from the day – like sunset. These are definitely my favourite shots.
Remember, your pictures will last forever, they are your memories from the big day. In years to come, you will appreciate those pictures with your friends and relatives.
